IGNITE TEACHES | Cecelia Lim

Cecelia is many things - dancer, choreographer, teacher, doula, reproductive health activist, and registered nurse. She was on trajectory to become a certified nurse-midwife when she realized her dreams had shifted. Growing up, Cecelia trained in ballet and pointe for nearly 10 years. She continued on to study house, hip-hop, and freestyling throughout college and beyond. After working as an ICU nurse for over 2 years, she moved across the country to pursue dancing professionally. Upon moving to LA, she competed on the Snowmies and Snowtorius dance teams and is currently part of the Lume Ignite program. She has worked as a backup dancer to Peach Luffe, Melione, Wei Wei, and Bryan Leigh Smith. You can also find her dancing under Queenship Entertainment in go-go, hip hop, and belly dancing styles and with The Project Entertainment and Free Samples hip hop dance crews.

Class Description: Cecelia’s classes will teach you rhythm, flow, and musicality while challenging you to push your physicality to the limit! She starts class with a warm up consisting of stretching and cardio exercises to wake your body up and improve your strength. She then moves on to choreography where you will dive into open style movement, a blend of her hip hop and ballet background. You will leave Cecelia’s class feeling energized and inspired!
